They're just copying it but making it more famous because of WHO they're working with and having a group core membership. Because of the fact that it
has more fame than us, they claim that their species was 100% original and that people wouldn't find the original founder of this species.

By personal note I know both these species and I can tell how the fact they both contain crystal gemstones in general body parts does not make them the same. The concept might be similar but this is not a closed trait. The lore and extra information is much different and I believe this is what determines what a species is and what is not ^^
